Fabric recommendations: Minky or "Teddy Fabric" (the kind that has a flat back side) or Cotton/linen (will need Lightweight Fusible Interfacing to strengthen it), Flannel, and all sorts of medium weight textured fabrics that don't have much stretch to them and have a flat back side.
